Anabolic steroids are man-made or human-made variations of the male sex hormone testosterone. \n<\/p>\n\n

The possible adverse reactions are as follows:<\/p>\n\n

  • Severe acne, oily skin and hair<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Hair loss<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Liver disease, such as liver tumors and cysts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Kidney disease<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • An enlarged heart, high blood pressure and changes in blood cholesterol, increase the risk of stroke and heart attack, even in young people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Negative mental effects, such as\n

    • Irritabilit\u00e9<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Increased aggression<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Depression<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Suicidal tendencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Paranoid jealousy (extreme, unreasonable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Delusions \u2013 false beliefs or ideas<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Impaired judgment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Mania<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Alterations in cholesterol and other blood lipids<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Gynecomastia (abnormal development of the mammary glands in men causing breast enlargement)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Shrinkage of the testicles<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Azoospermia (absence of sperm in semen)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Infertility<\/li>\n\n\n\n
